okay, so kato started a few threads about ff14
(specifically: zzombies.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=40)
two of the major things i've been speculating are how our characters will grow within the game, IE: ffxi's level grinding as opposed to ffxiv's "growth" and battle systems.
now, i don't have any of my references handy at this time (i'm recalling everything from memory from the articles and interviewsi've read over the past week), but i'll post them once i find it so we can get your take on the issue.
getting back on point, if you guys recall ffvii's materia and ffxii's license/gambits, i'm thinking a hybrid system between the two will be created as a means of growth. now, this brings us to, "how do we accumulate points to purchase materia/licenses/gambits in order to increase our stats?" this is the part that confuses me as SE stated there will be no levels. i'm thinking accumulating points is similar to level grinding and gaining experience points. maybe we'll be using the points gained in exchange for stats, kinda similar to meriting- we choose what areas our characters will grow in. we'll see.
